A Note From Father Rob

Whew! It’s over. As enjoyable, meaningful, inspirational and edifying as it all was, it is so good to have it all behind us. Let’s face it, Holy Week is a lot of work! A lot of work accomplished by a lot of people. So many people that I could never mention them all by name, but I can tell you what they did.

They purchased palm fronds and made them into crosses to be blessed, worn and pinned to door jambs far and wide as daily reminders of the love of Jesus. They planted flowers, trimmed bushes, spread pine straw, mowed lawns, fixed the fountain, decorated the entrances and repaired a broken water pipe, so all of our guests over the course of the week would see just how beautiful our church grounds are.

There were people who heated soup, made sandwiches, set up tables and chairs, washed dishes, vacuumed floors, tidied bathrooms, put out flowers and removed daily trash. All our finest linens and vessels were cleaned and polished. Floral arrangements were created and displayed everywhere. Singers and musicians gave their best heart-felt performances; and the list goes on and on and on.

It was a wonderful Holy Week and a joyous Easter celebration, but it would have been impossible to do without the dozens of dedicated people who made it all happen. To all of you, from the hundreds of people whose Holy Week you enlightened, thank you.
