Holy Habits – 2026 Lenten Meditations by Sister Monica Clare

Lent is almost upon us.

Sunday is the last day after Epiphany. Our Shrove Tuesday Fish Fry Supper is February 17. We then begin our Lenten Season with Ash Wednesday on February 18.

As we ponder our Lenten disciplines for this year, may I suggest adding the Lenten Meditations from Episcopal Relief & Development.

From the Episcopal Relief & Development website:

“Written by Sister Monica Clare, an Episcopal nun, author, and unlikely Tik Tok star, our 2026 meditations offer an invitation to rediscover – or deepen – holy habits of prayer, worship and engagement with Scripture. These “holy habits” provide a path to life that is given shape, meaning and direction by being rooted in a deeper relationship with God.”

Sister Monica Clare offers an introductory video. The meditations will be on the website or you can subscribe to receive the daily meditations.

May we enjoy these last days of “Alleluias” as we prepare for our meaningful season of Lent, a time to draw near to God as God draws near to us.

God’s peace and blessings,

Judy Q
